Product Care: Filson recommends professional dry cleaning to avoid shrinkage and preserve the new appearance of the fabric. If machine washing, turn garment inside out, to reduce the effect on the plush side of the fabric. Repeated machine washing can fade the color, giving Moleskin a weathered look. Allow for additional 3-5% shrinkage when machine washing. To minimize shrinkage, wash in cold water, and line dry, instead of using a machine dryer. How does your Brushed Twill compare to your Moleskin?Brushed Twill (used in Filson Style 850 and 850XL Alaskan Guide Shirts) and 7 oz. Moleskin (used in Filson Style 852 and 852XL Moleskin Shirts) share the same characteristics: both fabrics are durable, abrasion resistant, wind resistant, warm, and comfortable. The difference is that Moleskin has gone through a more time-consuming and expensive manufacturing process, to produce a softer, more luxurious plush surface on one side. Brushed Twill is soft, but Moleskin is softer.
