good fall boot

True to schnees fashion these have excellent quality and workmanships. I had these built with Bison leather as a special order. While I enjoy hunting in them very much the only down side is there are no half sizes. I also have the insulated Hunter II boots and given the insulation these fit well. In the uninsulated version having to go up a half size encourages the boot to cave in just above the rubber at the ankle area making them somewaht uncomfortable. This is improving with more use, but half sizes would be appreciated. Wearing an extra pair of socks is helping, but this defeats in part the unisulated design for warmer weather hunting. All in all I would still highly recommend them to a friend. When compared to the "competition" boot from a well respected pac boot company the Schnees boot are head and shoulders above for quality.
Unbeatable moderate weather Hunting wear

Abolutely the best moderate weather hunting boots I've ever had. I bought these about five years ago, after I had purchased the insulated Hunter II Schnees and enjoyed them while hunting in Pennsylvania. Since these fit up closer to my feet/legs, they took a little breaking-in for the leather to sofen up around my ankle area (I have skinny ankles). But since then, they continue to get more pliable and comfortable each time I wear them. Simply a superior boot.
Good Hunting Boot

I purchased the Schnee's Guide ADV 10" about five years ago. It has become my favorite hunting boot for small game/turkey/ bowhunting in the fall as well as spring turkey season. The ADV tread is perfect for hunting in mountainous terrain.

Stopped in at Bozeman store during a bird hunting trip to get first hand look at Schnee boots - sounded good on internet, but was concerned how they would function in wet weather hunting in western Oregon. Was assured by staff that use of seam sealer (permaseal) would do the trick. Used them this elk season and they were great, very comfortable boot and no leaks. They are uninsulated and work well in our westside temps. Very pleased with my Schnee pacs - finally got a boot that does the job. I went with the 13" and was glad I did- traditionally I use 10". Thank you Schnees for a great product!

Don't forget to get some Schnee's Premium Leather Conditioner to keep the leather uppers water resistant as well conditioned to maintain the quality of the leather. Odor-free and barnyard acid-proof.
If you're going to be in extremely wet conditions, we recommend Plastiseam Seam Sealer to reinforce the stitching and joint where the rubber meets the leather, so water can't sneak through the pin holes.
