I read a report in eastman's hunting journal about hunting boots and ordered them from Schnees. The ones I ordered were top rated but they did not fit me well. Bart recommend the Schnee's Granite hunting boot, I told him that I was concerned about a boot that was not rated yet. He assured me that I would love them and that I should also purchase the super feet since I would be hunting in extreme conditions in the San Jaun national forest. He was right!! I trained for the hunt wearing the boots for three months. My feet felt great. Our drop camp was at 8200 ft and we had to climb to 9200 ft every day which was only half a mile, the boots were sure footed and handled a back pack with a 25 lb load. The hunt lasted six days and it was the only pair of boots I wore from sun up to sun down, four of the days we had snow and temps got as low as eight degrees. And yes that is my first mule deer. I took him on public land...
