A little more than 200 years ago, President Thomas Jefferson acquired the Louisiana Purchase from
Napoleon. He commissioned Lewis & Clark to see if we could get from St. Louis to the Pacific Ocean by means of a waterway. Moving upstream against the Missouri River, and after a little bother called the Great Falls, Lewis and Clark eventually arrived at a place where three rivers came together to form the headwaters of the Missouri. That place is Three Forks, Montana, just down the road from Bozeman. We named our new lightweight shirt in honor of our charming neighbor to the west, one of the most historically significant towns along the Lewis & Clark trail.
